Our world is gradually becoming like hell for many who profess to follow Jesus Christ. Don’t we have to enjoy our human rights and religious freedomm? It’s a different story for our sister and mother Päivi Räsänen.

Päivi Räsänen, who happens to be a physician and mother of five, is fighting for her Democratic freedom of speech. She is to face trial coming January 24.

Päivi Räsänen freely expressed her religious belief as a Christian and that has been a thorn in the flesh for a certain group of people who support homosexuality.

You may ask about her crime that she is now facing jail in Finland. The story is quite hard to understand.

What Crime Is Making Räsänen Face Jail?

It’s pathetic how many call themselves Christians —yet fail to defend the word of God. Compromising what the Bible instructs us to do makes anyone a fake Christian. This 61-year-old woman defended the Bible by using Bible verses.

After sending out that tweet — and offending people in the LGBTQ+ group she has been going through legal challenges from the a grieved persons.

The Prosecutor General has charged Räsänen with incitement against a minority group, arguing that her statements were “likely to cause intolerance, contempt, and hatred towards homosexuals.” Ah ah, is this a ploy to put fear in Christians?

Now let me share with you what Räsänen said. The Bible verse Räsänen used is Romans 1:24-27. This is the truth that hurts. Like a bitter pill —the transgressor has to take it for good.

Below is a screenshot of her tweet. She sent some on Facebook and Instagram as well:

I simply can’t understand why our world is censoring people who express their faith and beliefs above human feelings, perceptions, and societal rules.

The 61-year-old MP, as a former MP —she has been an active member of the Finnish Lutheran Church. Unfortunately, they was some disagreement…

The whole problem It came about when she questioned her church’s sponsorship of an LGBT pride event in 2019.

She defended her tweet by explaining it to “First Things” in 2020.

Paul Coleman, ADF International’s executive director has been advocating for free speech and I believe with help from him and others, together with our prayers — Räsänen would be freed. Twitter did not find her tweet as something offensive but why all these retrospective attacks?

Currently, Räsänen is not very sure whether she will be prosecuted or vindicated. That sounds bad. The said offense or crime can land her in prison for about two years.

She and her legal team are going on with their trail —defending the faith and beliefs about this issue.

When you say a prayer —remember Päivi Räsänen, the 61 year woman from Finland waiting for her verdict —coming next week starting from 24th January. Sources say, the law court will give the final verdict In the middle of March.

As Christians, we believe the Bible is the word of God. Sexual perversion is sin in the sight of God. The consequence is eternal destruction.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals.” (1 Corinthians 6:9)

It is becoming difficult for many Christians around the world to declare and defend their faith. No wonder, Jesus said we will be hated for simply being his followers.

I welcome your feedback and comments. Don’t forget to share. Sharing is caring.
