Father hospitalized with COVID saying: ‘I really regret not getting my vaccine’
As the Covid-19 virus still raids through many places around the world —people are left stranded; not knowing the best decision to take.
The story of the vaccine projects both good and bad sides. Fear of the vaccine is preventing many from getting vaccinated. Again, fear of running into complications after taking the vaccine is also preventing many people from opting in.
The story of a family from West Hollywood is heartbreaking. On Thursday, a loved one got admitted to the hospital after contracting the virus. He is a 40-year father called Christian Cabrera.
He got the virus right after the Christmas holidays. They rushed him to the emergency room and was given all the necessary care. As he finds himself in that painful situation, he has regretted for not taking the covid vaccine.
Breathing has been very difficult for him since last week. He feels like there is no hope for him.
He keeps saying: ‘please keep [taking] care of my son,’” his brother, Jino Cabrera told Nexstar’s KTLA. “He knows he might not make it. He might die in there.”
As he struggles to breathe, he managed to send his brother a text message from his hospital bed saying:
“I can’t breathe again,” the message read. “I really regret not getting my vaccine, if I can do it all over again I would do it in a heartbeat to save my life. I’m fighting for my life here and I wish I have gotten vaccinated.”
This is a heartbreaking message coming from a father struggling to breathe because of the covid-19 infection. His lungs are failing to work normally, there seems to be no hope for Christian Cabrera.
Report coming from Los Angeles County indicates that unvaccinated people have been six times more likely to be admitted to the ICU compared to those fully vaccinated without boosters, according to data from Dec. 30 to Jan. 12.
The increasing number of Covid-19 patients is reported to be overwhelming. 102 people died on Thursday alone in LA county. The death rate for people who have not been vaccinated is on the rise compared to vaccinated people.
Advice has gone out for everyone to take very good of themselves. Because the variant being omicron is waging war against the people of LA. KTLA has a detailed report about this sad story.
There is an overwhelming increase in death putting pressure on health workers.
