What If Today Is Judgement Day? A Question To Think About

What if today is judgment day?

What if today is judgment day?

A man may forget where he is coming from and where he is going due to the beauties and pleasures of the world. One of the most important fundamental questions you cannot ignore is who created this earth and why are you here? Look, it’s not by accident; God has purposed everything.

In a hectic world like this, everyone seems busy with one or two things. The busyness and the hustle go like; hey my car, house, money, wife, children, job, business, and so forth. But all these things will come to an end one day. Now the question is what if today is judgment day? Where will be your stance? Are you ready for the second coming of the Messiah?

Even if you turn a blind eye to this — it doesn’t change the truth. I don’t mind whether you are an atheist or not. The Bible has said everything that has a beginning, has an end.

It’s a pity we spend countless hours thinking about our earthly needs but not the things of the Spirit that leads to eternal life.

Haven’t you yet realized that you are gradually fading away like a flower? Oh uh, take a look a few years back —you will then agree with me that you are not that person you used to be. The changes happen physically, spiritually, and mentally. Someday you will be non-existent just like your old old grandparents. Where are their souls now? Yes! I’m being rhetorical. You know it all

Think about this; Jesus is coming to judge the world. But no one knows the exact day —not even the angels in heaven.

Are You Ready For The Judgment Day?

Don’t dare ridicule the Biblical teachings of the dreadful day of the Lord. You would be a big fool like those who ignored Noah’s warning and died in the flood when the ark’s gate got closed.

2 Peter chapter 3 gave us a reminder and vivid picture of what happened to all those who disobeyed God in Noah’s time plus the time of Lot. (Sodom and Gomorrah)

One day, the last trumpet will blast. Then the Lord will gather his children from this world. (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Don’t tell me you are a Christian and conclude that you aren’t ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ. You should be ashamed because surely something is dragging you down. Sin! Give that burden to Him and you will be free.

The Bible says you should be ready for the second coming of the Savior of this world at all times.

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42)

This post is a reminder of the last day in front of the Creator of heaven and earth. As I write this post, my calendar shows 1st February 2022.

This date will never repeat itself. Next year will be 2023. So it’s important to value each day while we stay alert waiting for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

There is no valid excuse to say you want to enjoy world pleasures a little while before you repent. Remember, tomorrow is not promised. There is no guarantee that you will live to see tomorrow. It’s by grace and so you must be grateful.

Are you trading your soul for fame, money, and wealth? Gaining the whole world in your possession can’t even satisfy your soul. God wants your soul to enjoy eternal life. The Devil is also working hard for it. Why? Because it’s priceless. No amount of money can buy it.

As travelers, we are all on a great expedition; from somewhere unto the earth, then from earth into the afterlife. King Solomon said, the spirit goes to God and waits for judgment day. (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

There are more mysteries to this. However, the Bible says:

“And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)

Very true. We are still in the end times. No one has to tell you. Look at the crazy things happening around us. Today it’s an earthquake, tomorrow is coronavirus pandemic, the next day is Christian persecution.

Signs of the end of the world

These signs are continuously reminding us that Jesus’ second coming is imminent.

Stay alert!

What Do You Love Most?

How do you spend your day? It’s 24 hours for everyone. Do you spend a single minute thinking about God or get closer to Him in any way? I mean do you take any of these seriously?: Your Bible, prayers, meditation, praises, evangelism, fasting, etc

The love of the world has blindfolded many with material wealth. Technological gadgets and services such as mobile phones, social media, etc have become something like ‘gods’ in the lives of people. Why would a Christian love the world and cling to its materials?

In simple words, anything that takes the place of God in your life becomes an idol.

It’s not a sin to use technology and its services but Christians are advised to live wisely in this corrupted world.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.” (1st John 2:15 – 16)

Things that lead to sin should not have a place in our lives. God will judge everything we do or say.

If today happens to be the judgment day, will you be in a good stance in the Lord? The blood of Jesus has redeemed us from the power of sin. Through the blood and the grace, we have inherited an unshakable kingdom.

Be Blameless For The Coming Of Jesus

God delights in those who strive to live righteously. He has promised to reward them with the crown of righteousness.

Being a true born again Christian gives you the confidence of salvation through faith and the grace of God. Heaven is our real home. Be ready!

“Now may the God of peace himself make you completely holy and may your spirit and soul and body be kept entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

End time
God will destroy this world and everything in it on the last day.

Eternal life must be the most important thing for any human on earth. Come to Jesus today. Repent, confess your sins, and salvation will be yours through the blood of Jesus and the grace of God. Amen.
