Pastor Greg Locke plans massive book burning

A pastor known as Greg Locke from Global Vision Bible Church has planned to burn certain books on a large scale. He got the approval for this on Sunday and then declared there would be a “burning service” this week.

Some of the books are very popular. Examples are the Harry Potter and Twilight books. Together with these, he will also burn other items in Tennessee. His reason for this ordeal is very interesting and controversial.

Harry Potter novel is one of the best-selling books of all time. More than 500 million copies of this book have been sold worldwide. In the United States alone 180 million copies have been sold.

Greg Locke, calls such books demonic. It is very clear that many Christians have these kinds of novels in their possessions. Now, pastor Greg Locke is organizing a ‘massive’ Book Burning to get rid of witchcraft and other demonic influences in the lives of Christians.

Sources say, Locke, who operates out of Mt. Juliet near Nashville, has informed his members to bring Ouija boards, which he called a “portal to hell,” and other items he said were associated with witchcraft.

In a Facebook post on Monday, he said the burning would be part of a “continued series on deliverance from demons.”

He said:

“We have stuff coming in from all over that we will be burning. We’re not playing games. Witchcraft and accursed things must go.”

Pastor Locke based his decision on a biblical verse that reads:

“Large numbers of those who had practiced magic collected their books and burned them up in the presence of everyone. When the value of the books was added up, it was found to total fifty thousand silver coins.” (Acts 19:19)

This is a record of how the people of Ephesus renounced their demonic activities to follow Jesus Christ. They brought their charms, scrolls, and other items associated with witchcraft. This is what is inspiring Pastor Locke to embark on such an audacious ‘massive’ book burning service.

Again in a Facebook post, he said:

“Ring all your Harry Potter stuff. Laugh all you will haters. I don’t care. It’s witchcraft 100 percent.

“All your “Twilight” books and movies. That mess is full of spells, demonism, shape-shifting, and occultism. Bring tarot cards, ouija birds, healing crystals, idol statues, spell books, and everything else tied to the occult. It’s got to go.

“If you think we’re crazy, then scroll on. We’re exposing the Kingdom of Darkness for what it is. It’s time for people to be delivered.”

He finalized everything by saying:

“We will not tolerate witchcraft and we will not be compromising with devil worshippers.

“Everyone is welcome, but this is Global Vision and we don’t do things like the church down the road or the one you grew up in.

“We can’t unsee the miracles that are happening around us. It’s time to break covenant with the devil and grow in the Lord. Get there early. It’s going to be absolutely amazing.”

This has sparked mixed reactions around the world —especially on social media platforms such as Twitter. Many people are commenting in support of such activities.

Pastor Greg Locke has been criticized by other groups of people for his comments on the American presidential elections, and the covid-19 vaccine. He also has a large fan base that encourages him to keep on doing the work of God.
