Russia Can Destroy Everything Including Churches But Not Our Faith And Beliefs In God — Zelensky Vows

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed on Thursday that Russia can destroy everything in Ukraine including their holy places —churches and Cathedrals but not the unified faith and beliefs they have in God. He assured everything would be rebuilt at the cost of Russia.
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky vowed last Thursday that Vladimir Putin and his Russian forces can destroy everything but not their faith and beliefs in God.
He has been firm in his decision to defend Ukraine from Russia. The war is getting worse as some of the cities fall into the hands of the Russian forces.
This is not something to steal away the faith and beliefs of Ukraine, President Volodymyr’s vowed. He said emphatically that Russia would “not destroy our faith, our sincere belief in Ukraine and God”.
In recent days, Ukrainians have been seeking help from God through a particular Bible verse from Psalms 31 which says the Lord will show love and protect the city.
King David wrote this when he was under attack. It resonates well with Ukrainians, so they created a high demand for Bible —forcing a Christian bookshop to run out of Bibles.
As united as they are, they have grown much faith in God that their country will not fall. Although news coming in doesn’t auger well for the people of Ukraine.
It has been more than a week since the invasion began. It appears that the Russian troops have been relentless in their siege. Sources say the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, which has about 280,000 population had fallen to Russia’s control.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged that as the war enters the eight-day. He spoke to the entire world that Putin can destroy everything including their churches and cathedrals in Ukraine but can never take away their faith and beliefs.
He holds a strong belief that Ukraine would be rebuilt so he is not giving up. He is not going to surrender but keep on defending his lovely country together with all patriotic citizens.
He said Russia would learn about ‘reparations’, saying: “Even if you destroy all our Ukrainian cathedrals and churches, you will not destroy our faith, our sincere belief in Ukraine and God, belief in people.
“We will rebuild every single house, every single street, every single city. And we are telling Russia – learn the words ‘reparations’ and ‘contributions’. You will pay back fully to us for what you’ve done against our state, against our every single Ukrainian.”
The war is still escalating to other cities in Ukraine. Russia has already attacked Kyiv causing a lot of damage. The southern region of Ukraine has also become a critical location for Ukraine to defend.
Sources say Kherson has been the largest city to fall to Russian forces. This city is located on the Dnieper River, giving Russia access to critical canals supplying water to Crimea.
Mariupol, which is another large city in Ukraine in the south has also been encircled by the Russian forces. This city hosts about 430,000 people.
Russia’s strategy is to also seize Mariupol to create a direct link between eastern Ukraine and Crimea, both of which have already now fallen into Russian control.
Hundreds to thousands of people have died, both civilians and the military have had their share in this unprovoked war from Russia’s President Vladimir Putin.
Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, Olha Stefanishyna has also expressed her displeasure about Nato’s refusal to implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine. She has charged Nato to take part in the blame of the death of innocent civilians.
She also recalled how newly born babies lost their parents to the Russian invasion.
“The blood of those civilians – including the mother and father of two kids who were born just yesterday and only today lost their parents in a shelling – is not only on Russian hands.”
She later apologized for being too emotional and undiplomatic in her statement against Nato.
The people of Ukraine are still unified to wade off the Russian forces from advancing to other cities such as Mariupol and Odesa (The third largest city in Ukraine).
President Zelensky’s statement last Thursday shows how resilient he and his countrymen have been against Vladimir Putin.
They are not bogged down even if they lose everything including their churches and cathedrals. Their faith in God can never be destroyed. That is a powerful faith statement from the Ukrainian president.
Prayers are always coming from all corners of the world for Ukraine. A greater number of the country members of the UN have thrown their support behind Ukraine.
