Christian Rapper TobyMac's Concert Rescheduled

The highly anticipated concert of Christian Rapper TobyMac has been rescheduled due to a fire outbreak that happened at the venue where the event was taking place.

Denver Fire Department spokesman Captain Greg Pixley told PEOPLE by explaining that the fire incident happened on Thursday evening around 6:15 p.m. at Denver, Colorado’s Ball Arena. This forced the performer and his associates to evacuate the venue ahead of the concert.

Fortunately, no casualties were recorded. This has been confirmed by the Ball Arena press release. Everyone came out safely. TobyMac, in a message expressed his gratefulness for not hearing about any injuries.

Pixely explained that the building’s sprinkler system extinguished the fire before it could go any further. Pixley, again said the fire was reportedly caused by a food warmer that malfunctioned.

Fans became confused and disappointed upon hearing about the fire outbreak at Ball Arena in Denver preventing TobyMac to hold his concert because they have already bought tickets.

On Thursday, TobyMac addressed this nagging issues of his fans in an Instagram post:

“Denver show POSTPONED tonight because of small fire at Ball Arena in a suite. 😔,” the musician captioned a selfie with Crowder, a fellow Christian musician whom he’s on tour with. The picture was taken outside the venue, as people exited the event space.

“My Mile High friends…..we will be back, hopefully soon. We will make it happen,” he continued. “What God has put together let no flames put asunder! Glad everyone is safe. Thank you Denver fire dept. So bummed but see you soon.”

It is not too late for fans to witness Christian TobyMac’s concert. It has now been rescheduled for March 9.

Sources say tickets stamped on March 3 show will be honored at the rescheduled date, per Ball Arena. Additionally events information would be given by the ticket master.

In a follow-up post, the “Lights Shine Bright” rapper apologized for the change of plans.

“We’re so sorry this happened to all of us Denver. But between the arena, the promoter, the bands, the crew and everyone involved, we’re gonna make it happen on March 9th,” he wrote on Instagram.
