Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8, 1935. He was an American singer and actor known as the “King of Rock and Roll”. He began his music career at the early age of 13 years in 1954. Presley died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42.

Presley is said to have died of heart disease. Sources say Memphis medical examiner called Jerry Francisco declared that the immediate cause of his death was cardiac arrest.

Other sources revealed that Presley’s death came as a result of drug abuse and unhealthy eating habits. This contributed to his death in 1977 at his Graceland estate.

Presley got married to Priscilla Beaulieu in 1967 and divorced in 1973. The couple had one child (daughter) called Lisa Marie Presley.
