Franklin Graham's ‘Jesus Loves You’ tour

Franklin Graham who loves to preach and talk about moral issues has won his legal battle to reschedule his tour date in Birmingham, UK. Initially, he was banned on his right to speak and organize programs at venues in the UK. This ban has now been overturned by lawmakers following a legal adjudication.

It’s a piece of good news in the camp of Franklin Graham. His team “The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association” (BGEA) has rescheduled and announced their upcoming tour at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on 15th June 2024.

The association led by Franklin Graham himself is poised to present Jesus to everyone, irrespective of race, gender, religion, or faith. The idea is to reach out to all types of people because Jesus came to die for everyone. He wants everyone to be saved.

Just last Saturday at London ExCel, there was a recorded number of 10,000 people who showed up to worship the Lord. This was part of the ‘God Loves You’ UK tour.

Interestingly about 1,000 people are said to have committed their lives to Jesus Christ. And that’s very encouraging.

Why was he even banned? Sources say the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) initially canceled his tour in June 2020. This came as a result when several different venues banned him from organizing his religious programs hence charging him with homophobic preaching due to his stance on issues about homosexuality.

After his association took legal action against this situation, all charges were dropped. He has been vindicated in the sense that he has the right to enjoy religious freedom and the freedom of speech.

This victory has given him the green light to continue his ‘God Loves You’ tour.

In an interview with Premier Christian News, Franklin Graham said:

“I don’t hate anyone, anybody. And my message is for everybody. I want gay people to come, I want Muslims to come I want people of different races to come and hear that God loves them and cares for them. And that Christ took their sins and died himself for our sins Himself on the cross. When he when he was nailed to that cross, he was nailed there for you and me, and for every human being,”

The free event is also scheduled to take place at OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, on 22nd June 2024.

It is nothing new in our generation for a Christian preaching or program to be challenged by people with different beliefs or thoughts. Franklin Graham demonstrated the personality of God by telling everyone how God loves them and so everyone is welcome to the tour.

This is seen as part of “The Great Commission” as Jesus his instructed believers to reach out to the world with the gospel.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

The entire team of Franklin Graham aims to bring the gospel to all kinds of people, in love and truth.
